I believe that many healers are forged in the fires of personal struggle, emerging from the depths of darkness to be reborn, renewed, and ready to serve. My life has been a testament to this belief. From the very moment I entered this world, I was met with its harsh realities. As a deeply sensitive child, I struggled to communicate and often felt trapped within my own body. The world seemed abrasive, and the physical touch of others was overwhelming. I was a mystery even to those closest to me, a child who could not be easily consoled.
As I grew, life continued to challenge me. School and social settings were daunting, and my health was a constant battle—an ongoing cycle of infections, ailments, and suffering that doctors struggled to explain or heal. In my teenage years, I was diagnosed with Asperger's, depression, and anxiety. While this provided some answers and tools to help me navigate life, it also deepened my internal struggle. The more I adapted to societal expectations, the more I felt disconnected from my true self.
It was during this time that my journey into the world of healing began. My mother's relentless search for answers led us to explore alternative and holistic therapies. Through chiropractic care, NAET, and Reiki, I experienced glimpses of relief, though full healing still eluded me. This journey continued for over a decade, with little growth and periods of feeling lost and asleep, merely going through the motions of life.
The birth of my first child in 2016 was a pivotal moment. Preparing for his arrival opened my eyes to the power of natural and conscious birth, and I achieved a natural, unmedicated hypno-babies birth. Yet, even then, I was completely unaware of the deeper shifts that were about to unfold.
In 2017, my life took a profound turn. My health challenges escalated with the diagnosis of auto-immune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's), leading me to explore the impact of diet and lifestyle on our well-being. During this time, I became pregnant with my second child, who would become my greatest awakener. As I navigated this pregnancy, I embarked on a journey to become a birth doula, eager to apply my newfound knowledge to my own experience.
But life had other plans. In the final weeks of my pregnancy, my daughter turned breech, despite all my efforts to encourage her to turn. This led to a deep surrender—to myself, my body, my baby, and to God. Labor began naturally, but I ultimately had to submit to a C-section. This experience, though not what I had planned or wanted, became a beautiful and transformative moment of letting go and trusting in the divine flow of life.
Following her birth, I entered one of the darkest periods of my life. In February of 2019, with my two-month-old baby and my partner Kevin by my side, I experienced a profound awakening. For the first time, I saw my life with new eyes and realized that I had not consciously chosen much of anything in my life, except for Kevin and my children. This realization sparked a rapid transformation, as my intuition began to awaken to new heights.
Our journey took another unexpected turn when our second child, at just seven months old, began experiencing tonic-clonic seizures. This was a deeply traumatic experience, but it also became a catalyst for profound change. Despite all the conventional tests yielding no answers, the neurologists just wanted to put her on heavy daily medications, I felt a strong pull to explore more holistic healing methods. After another long and sleepless night of research, while nursing her, I prayed and pleaded to God for answers on what I should do and to my surprise I received a clear message: “All has been provided to you through the Earth, and so it shall be.” At that moment I knew I needed to treat her holistically. We told her neurologist that we wanted to explore holistic options, but I agreed we would fill the prescription to have on hand and take it if she had another seizure.
This moment of divine guidance led us to fully embrace holistic healing. We changed our diet, detoxed naturally, and eliminated toxins from our home. We connected with other healers and made significant life changes. I worked alongside a holistic chiropractor who used muscle testing, Neuro-Emotional Technique, and Quantum Neurology. Witnessing the transformative impact of quantum energy work on my own health and that of others ignited a deep passion within me.
In 2020, I discovered The Emotion Code and immediately felt its power. I began using it intuitively on myself, and the results were profound. By June 2024, Kevin and I made the leap to start MK Quantum Healing, and I became a Certified Emotion Code, Body Code and Belief Code Practitioner. This journey has not been easy, and while my personal healing story is still in progress, I can look back and truly see how far I have come. I have reached a point in my journey that I am now finally able to serve others in a way that feels completely true and authentic to who I am.
Oh and that anti-seizure medication that we promised we would use if our daughter had another seizure? Well, that was in August of 2019 and that (expired) prescription still sits unopened on our shelf as a testament to God's guidance in healing. Our daughter is a beautiful, vibrant and healthy soul who along with her brother blesses us each and every day with amazing wisdoms and vibrant health.
I am excited to be combining this work with pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, believing that our world needs this healing now more than ever for families and the future generations to come.
